Airgas is Hiring for a Compressor Technical Specialist!

We are looking for you !

  • Position is a combination of home and local office located in Dallas, TX

  • Must be willing to travel ~70-80% travel to US locations

The Compressor Technical Specialist is responsible for providing support to the compressor maintenance department. While deployed in the field, the Compressor Technical Specialist determines and corrects any additional items that are identified during routine maintenance/rebuild. Responsibilities include: scheduling compressor maintenance, performing compressor maintenance, inventory control, training (onsite) and new compressor builds. The compressor department supports growth and efficiencies throughout the organization and is involved in research and development of new processes.

  • Schedule and perform compressor maintenance

  • Test and verify new technology for a variety of compressors.

  • Implement best operation practices for regional cylinder fill.

  • Monitor compressor efficiencies

  • Inventory management.

  • Provide technical project management for R&D and new engineering projects.

  • Provide process and instrumentation diagrams as required for compliance.

  • Support plant construction and special projects within Regional Companies.

  • Manage special project requests.

  • Identify and communicate process/profit improvement areas

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance based experience.

  • Hands on experience with CAD and developmental computer skills

  • Knowledge of Google Suite such as Google doc, sheets, etc.

  • Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets.

  • Highly motivated individual and self-starter.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience
