Job Overview

Supply Chain Internship Program - International Operations & Logistics

Global Distribution Center, Charleroi, PA

Komatsu is a global leader in the Mining and Heavy Equipment industry. We have an internship opportunity available for an undergraduate student focusing on business, supply chain, and/or logistics. We believe that internships are positions that help students gain professional skills and experiences. Komatsu is dedicated to helping students combine real world activities with in-class theory to develop talent now and in the future.

The internship candidate will be immersed in a professional environment where they can integrate to the Komatsu culture and make important contributions. Minimal business travel may occur; most weeks will be spent in our Global Distribution Center in Charleroi, PA. The ideal candidate will be professional, analytical and responsible. This internship is intended to identify future high potential Komatsu employees.

Key Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities:



  1. Inventory Management (part tracking/tracing, short ship review, and part escalation)
  2. Breakdown Part Analysis and Escalation
  3. System review and update of part promise dates to customers
  4. Region reporting
  5. Collaboration with sourcing
  6. Regional customer service support

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Education: Must be at least in Sophomore standing at an accredited college/university. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.70+ and be able to apply their academic background to real business world experiences.

2. Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.

3. Soft Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and strong motivation to drive results.

4. PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel, Power Point and other summary and analysis tools. Must demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Travel: Some limited travel may be required to other local Komatsu locations.
