The Director of Behavioral Health Programs evaluates, analyzes and presents data and performance metrics that will demonstrate quality, performance improvement, productivity and revenue. Provides oversight of ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission standards, any applicable regulatory agency and Inova policies and procedures. Utilizes guidelines, standards and research to support all clinical services and programming that produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Provides leadership to direct reports and team members within Inova Health System by utilizing effective communication skills, creating an environment that allows team members to develop professionally and providing consistent and timely follow up and feedback. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding clinical services and programming, while serving as a resource and mentor is required. Job Responsibilities Directs the development of quality outcomes and implementation of performance improvement initiatives. Manages daily operations and oversight of Human Resources activities and ensures team member training and competencies for the specific needs of facilities. Ensures the alignment of processes and resources to enable the safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient care. Supports and assists appropriately in Inova Health System's strategic initiatives. Responsible for the hiring and performance evaluations of direct reports. Validates completeness and accuracy of data. Assumes responsibility for program compliance with both licensure and accreditation for all components under areas of responsibility. Identifies and uses benchmarks and best practices appropriately. Demonstrates sound operational and stewardship skills by ensuring coverage of all clinical and non-clinical areas, maintaining budgetary standards and ensuring effective use and appropriate utilization of all resources. Effectively and timely disseminates information about organizational initiatives and the expectations of the team members concerning the initiatives. Creates and develops an inclusive and supportive environment that allows team members to be able to be authentic and have courageous conversations. Monitors the retention and team engagement results and works with team members to identify best practices and improvement opportunities. Director, Behavioral Health Programs Minimum Requirements: Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Professional Counselor OR Clinical Psychologist Experience - 5 years of related experience Education - Masters Degree Social Work or other related field Director, Behavioral Health Programs Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of leadership experience Experience working in an inpatient rehab/ behavioral health hospital/unit
