| Description Lead position - Generally has more than ten years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. A Lead Technician has a broad knowledge of the field's standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is self-starting and requires no supervision. Essential Functions:  
  
 Monitors physical requirements for work completion (facilities, tools, environmental) and communicates same on an ongoing basis to his/her supervisorModels and reinforces company policies/practices to ensure that work is performed in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values and in collaboration with other Holt functionsAchieves labor sales and utilization expectations as set by supervisor/manager to ensure team revenue targets are metPerforms job duties of a Service Supervisor during periods of his/her absenceTroubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failuresProvides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasksDisassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized toolingRebuilds, repairs, reconditions and maintains equipment and componentsDemonstrates good customer relations and support; communicates customer needs to shop managementPlans and controls the cost of repair jobsCompletes parts orders and identifies parts for returnProvides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented supervision, mentoring, and training to othersMaintains all equipment and work areas - keeps in good, clean, and orderly conditionWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsWorks overtime as required by workload and customers' needsUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training PathsPerforms other duties as assigned
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  
 Extensive knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceProficient with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systemsQuality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance and communicate findingsOperation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systemsEquipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a jobAbility to operate a forklift and an overhead craneThe ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positionsAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in a mechanical repairThe ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objectsThe ability to read, write, and understand informationThe ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
 Additional Requirements: 
  
 Owns a large and complete assortment of appropriate hand tools and may have some specialized tools
 Education and Experience: 
  
 More than ten years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred
