The Research Engagement Coordinator will work closely with PI to develop and implement strategies for involving diverse stakeholders in the research process. The coordinator will support fostering collaborations, and building trust with the communities we serve.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• Bachelors Degree
• Experience in research data collection, community engagement, and social media management.
• Passion for Community Engagement: Strong interest in working with communities, particularly in a research context, and a commitment to inclusive, collaborative, and accessible outreach practices.
• Interest in Research: A passion for research and a curiosity to understand complex scientific or academic topics.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences. Experience in creating materials for a variety of community members is a plus. * Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Digital Literacy: Familiarity with social media platforms, digital communication tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with platforms like Canva, SurveyMonkey, or similar tools is a plus.

Department Overview

The Department of Family and Community Medicine is a School of Medicine academic/clinical department of approximately 19 faculty members, 30 Volunteer Clinical Professors, 8 Staff Physicians, 47 Residents and approximately 40 staff members. The departments are responsible for providing research, education and clinical service.
