Job Title: Procurement Engineer Specialist

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Procurement Engineer Specialist, where you'll coordinate with the Quality and Supplier Quality Engineer team to ensure suppliers deliver products that meet our high standards, on-time and on-quality. This role offers the chance to build strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement efforts. You'll collaborate with internal teams to address supplier performance issues and ensure product specifications are met. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a leading global company.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality, lead time, and cost reduction.
  • Establish and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts both internally and with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Ensure product specifications are met.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or related field within manufacturing or automotive industries.
  • Proven experience in improvement projects and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally to visit suppliers when required.
