Position Summary/Department Summary:
This Early Childhood Development social worker will provide a range of clinical social work services as an integral team member on an outpatient early childhood mental health program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Psychosocial screening and assessment of patients
  • Group and dyadic therapy
  • Contribution to program development and quality improvement efforts

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in social work

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of social work experience
  • Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic clinical health care environment essential.
  • Experiences in interdisciplinary team clinical environment and working with children and families affected by trauma are valued. Applicants from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in the mental health workforce are strongly encouraged to apply. Multi-lingual speakers preferred.
  • Experience in evidence-based clinical care preferred in medical environment.
  • Experience in or knowledge about early childhood mental health highly valued.
  • Capacity for learning the developmentally specific skills related to infant and early childhood mental health, including assessment and treatment modalities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively support families and communicate with multidisciplinary team and community partners/resources.
  • Exceptional empathetic listening skills in working with families from diverse backgrounds (to understand patient concerns, fears, and needs)
  • Cultural humility and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations Strong self-awareness and clinically effective management of boundaries in therapeutic relationships with families

Licensure/Certifications:

LICSW licensure in the state of MA
