Material Quote Specialist I

Summary:
Performs basic to moderately complex administrative tasks required to obtain and review proposal packages.

Responsibilities:
* Review proposal packages for completeness and interface with responsible functional groups to facilitate receipt of missing documentation/information
* Send Request for Quotes (RFQ's) to bidders, obtaining the lowest competitive pricing
* Review responses, benchmarking to historical purchase activity, quote history and alternate sourcing
* Source alternate parts for cost reduction opportunities
* Perform final analysis of package and deliver to financial group within prescribed time commitments
* Distribute proposal information to respective buyers at time of business award

* Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
* Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, including day and overnight travel as required
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format

* 2 Year Associates degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 0-2+ years in accounting/quoting

Compensation Range: $68,640.0 to $75,142.00 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
