Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Pricing Analyst to join our SIOP & Pricing Strategy team based out of Harvey, Illinois. Reporting to the Sr. Director, SIOP & Pricing Strategy, this person will be responsible for analyzing product pricing, lead continuous improvement projects, and support the quoting and pricing function across a broad mechanical product portfolio. You'll thrive in this role if you're highly analytical, systems-savvy (JDE, SAP, Excel/VBA), and excited about working cross-functionally to shape pricing strategy in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have minimum of 3+ years of professional experience and preferably experience in pragmatic pricing solutions, quotations, sourcing/purchasing, finance, transfer cost pricing, or operations and continuous improvement.

What you'll do:



  • Perform pricing analysis and develop strategies that drive sales and profitability.
  • Support pricing for new products, updates to existing pricing, and implementation of special pricing programs.
  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities related to quoting, discount structures, and special pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate on customer bids and RFPs through strategic analysis and pricing optimization.
  • Support and contribute to sales and marketing strategies involving new product pricing, price modifications to existing products, and implementation of new price programs and new business practices.
  • Contribute to all aspects of customer bids/RFPs/RFQs by performing strategic pricing analysis and overall profitability analysis of the business opportunity for all Mechanical Products & Solutions customer segments.
  • Contribute to building a scalable Pricing Center of Excellence (PCoE) through automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.


What you'll bring:



  • 3+ years of experience in Pricing, Quotations, Sourcing, Finance, or Operations - ideally in a manufacturing or B2B industrial setting.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Data/Quantitative Analysis, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding with hands on experience using ERP systems JDE and/or SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with VBA experience. High preference given for ability to write and create macros.
  • Strong preference given to Six Sigma or Lean experience in manufacturing or operational roles.
  • Exposure to Salesforce CPQ a plus.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore immersion program
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of data and tools.


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Partner with Business units to get an understanding of how each product line pricing works.
  • Deep dive doing quotations for all product lines for specific region.
  • Working with product line pricing teams to receive weekly guidelines on pricing.
  • Be able to maintain pricing in Saleforce (CPQ).


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Expert Pricer for your specific region with complete market intelligence.
  • Complete understanding of competition for each product line.
  • Be able to balance between price, volume and profitability.
  • Establish standard work and documentation.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $65,120 to $89,540. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
