This role has a current pay range of $34.00/hr to $45.43/hr. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of this posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment. Summary: This position is responsible for operating and maintaining, modifying and performing routine and emergency repairs on all electrical/electronics and associated mechanical equipment in assigned area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Takes immediate measures in emergency situations to protect the safety of the public and the company's assets. Makes accurate decisions and thorough attentiveness to the activities is required. Supervises digging by third parties around our high-pressure pipelines. Performs physical labor related to maintenance of large pumps, motors, and valves. Follows established procedures for lock-out/tag-out to assure safety. Maintains, make repairs to and operate equipment for pump stations, pipeline control centers, product terminals and related facilities. Maintains and marks pipeline right-of-way for surveillance access and location. Assures that the pipeline route and right-of-way is adequately marked to warn others that may encroach on the pipeline. Monitors, inspects, and evaluates trouble areas along ROW that are reported by ground or aerial surveillance. Maintains, operates and evaluates cathodic protection systems. Observes proper environmental and safety procedures. Assists in the construction and modification of facilities. Informs and enforces company rules and regulations on outside pipeline companies and contractors. Works weekends and respond to 24-hour on call. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment and minimizes company liability. Improves operations efficiency and financial profitability through well maintained facilities. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or graduate of a technical school preferred. Minimum Requirements: One year of related experience required Knowledge of Bristol, Allen Bradley, and Systronics systems preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy Ability to be alert and drive excessive miles daily Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities Ability to take directions from supervisors Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to supervise digging by third parties around our high-pressure pipelines required Ability to plan activities on the pipeline with a weekly to monthly time horizon require Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. for up to 50 feet on a weekly basis. Walking 100 yards or more over 10 times throughout the day, with the expectations that employees could walk regularly up to 300 yards at a time for a total of 2 miles or more during a shift. Walking on steep inclines for up to 15 minutes at a time. Working in a crouching position several times per day for up to an hour at a time. Bending and stooping several times per day for up to 30 minutes at a time. Bending and twisting for up to 30 minutes at a time, including manually digging with shovels. Standing in one place for up to an hour at a time. Sitting for up to two hours at a time. Ability to wear all appropriate personal protection equipment, such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, respirator/breathing apparatus, and/or fall protection, as required by the job activities. Ability to use or operate the hand tools, power tools, precision tools, measurement devices and other tools or equipment required by the job activities.
