The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Columbia University School of Nursing is looking for an experienced Project Director who will collaborate with the Principal Investigator and researchers to develop objectives and design of research projects and proposals. Responsibilities The Project Director will be responsible for formulating and conducting research studies and analyses. Other specific responsibilities will include: Performing complex data collection and study methods, as well as analyzing and evaluating research results; Overseeing data entry, management and cleaning of survey data as well as other large existing national data sets; Ensuring compliance with all federal and university requirements, including developing and submitting of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, modifications and renewals; Assisting the Principal Investigator in dissemination activities, grant and manuscript submissions; In conjunction with the Grants Management Office, monitoring the study budget, including the flow of invoices and daily expenses; Reviewing and synthesizing research literature & analytics; Spearheading the development of manuscripts on study findings, study protocols, and/or relevant literature reviews; Monitoring project developments, including proposing and implementing changes as needed; Creating protocols, work plans, work flows for study activities to ensure all project activities are running according to schedule and within projections, and creating remediation plans to address financial shortfalls Guiding, training and managing the day-to-day activities of graduate student research assistants (GRAs) or part-time research assistants and study interviewers, including the development of new training materials where needed; Supervising and mentoring one full-time research staff member; Ensuring the timely submission of all reports to funding agencies; Planning and leading weekly or semi-monthly study core team meetings; and Performing other related responsibilities and participating in special projects as assigned. This role is 100% grant-funded position and employment is contingent upon continued grant funding. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five (5) years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree preferred.
