Inpatient Psychiatrist Consult Liaison

MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a board-certified Psychiatrist for consultation with the Emergency Department for behavioral health patient assessments, dispositions, and treatment recommendations. The position works in coordination with MHBH Crisis Services, who see all behavioral health patients, and with the Emergency Department Physicians to whom the consultation is provided. The position also provides floor consultations for the hospital.

The position is with MHBH in Biddeford. There is also a 40-bed inpatient behavioral health unit at the Sanford campus, a psychiatric partial hospital, and an integrated medication assisted treatment program for different levels of care. Additionally, ECT is available at the Sanford site. MHBH in Biddeford has access to outpatient services, both Child and Adult, Adult ACT services, as well as CSU and residential services.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.

• Current or eligible license as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.

• Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.

• Current DEA Registration Certificate.

• 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training.

• Meet other credentialing criteria defined in medical staff by-laws
