Summary: 

The HR Manager will take the lead role in all of the following functional areas:  associate relations, labor relations, HR specific training, HR legal requirements and compliance, compensation practices, deployment of HR policies and procedures, labor relations, support the performance management process, assist in the hiring of all non-exempt and exempt associates, and managing the employee relations process.  The HR Manager will act as the liaison between Eurest, and the Corporate HR Department.  Specific duties include: 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with operations and HR leadership to execute objectives, and develops appropriate strategies and tactics to maximize a productive, engaged workforce
  • Objectively coach associates through complex and difficult issues.  Provide guidance to management on appropriate disciplinary action.  Assist or direct with on-site investigations.
  • Support internal customer and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.
  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, provide assistance and implement HR initiatives.
  • Advise leadership team through strategy development relating to Human Resource topics
  • Manage multiple HR system as needed
  • Working knowledge of employment law in multiple states
  • Experience working in a highly decentralized environment
  • Working understanding of co-employment risk and how to mitigate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years human resources generalist experience required.   
  • Union experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in the hospitality or facility services industries 
  • HR experience at a large organization required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills required.
